Our first ever show, the self titled Cuckoo’s Egg, was a sellout success last weekend! We were so pleased with how it all came together. It was hard to fully access what we had until we placed it in front of audiences, but the reactions were fantastic.
As you can see from the photographs above, the audience explored the Caretaker’s suitcase of memories and the proceeded to journey around the building, meeting young couples courting in the 1950s, a modern day ‘Pick Up Artist’, a 1970s Punk, a Edwardian Travelling Projectionist, an Etiquette teacher in the 1960s and our main characters Freddie and Martha as their relationship developed and changed across the decades.
It was great fun. Thank you to everyone who came along to the show and supported new Theatre in Wakefield. We’re going to get started on our next show straight away!
